Journey

From Taiwan to USA

Though I was born in the States, I spent a key part of my childhood growing up in Taiwan. That experience opened me up to different cultural practices and shaped a lot of my core values— always listen first, celebrate differences, and support community work.

Over the years, I’ve volunteered for various Taiwanese communities as an English teacher, cultural show performer, and even president for fundraising and event planning. Sharing culture has always felt like a form of love.

Discovering

My design voice

Being fluent in two beautiful languages means I get twice the art to read, see, and feel. But growing up, I struggled a lot with reading and writing, so I found my voice through drawing and designs instead.

During college, I started telling stories about being caught between 2 cultures through games I built by drawing and coding. It is also in this academic institution that I found myself in UI/UX design— a path where design and code intersect.

My Path

Why UI/UX

There’s something really special about seeing something you created get used by someone else. I love making experiences feel easy, playful, and personal. And I care deeply about making sure people feel seen in the things I build.
